In a devastating turn of events, the family of Cassie Henry has announced that she has been found, but not in the way they had hoped. Cassie, who had been missing since March 16th, has been discovered deceased.
Cassie Henry Missing Update
Cassie, described as having blonde hair and standing 5’3, had left her residence wearing a black t-shirt style bodysuit, black leggings, and a beige winter jacket with fur on the hood. She was last seen leaving her house around 7-8pm on Saturday evening, with her last proof of contact occurring around 2am on Sunday.
The missing persons unit, although not operating 24 hours, had been actively searching for Cassie. Her last cell tower location was traced to downtown, with search efforts focusing on the Nepean/Brittania Beach area.
In a heartfelt message, Cassie’s family expressed their gratitude for the outpouring of support and assistance in the search efforts. They shared their profound grief, describing Cassie as a “light worker” who unfortunately succumbed to the darkness.
“We are beyond devastated,” the family stated. “Words cannot describe how I am feeling… forever in my heart, I love you Cassie Henry.”
The Ottawa police have been informed of the tragic discovery, and investigations into the circumstances surrounding Cassie’s death are ongoing.
