Known for her radiant smile and bright eyes, Brook had an infectious love for life and a remarkable sense of humor. She loved playing the piano, a talent she had been cultivating since the fall. Her family fondly recalls how she couldn’t pass the piano without sitting down to play, filling their home with beautiful music that will be deeply missed.

Brook was a girl of many passions and talents. She adored animals, reading, and spending time outdoors on the farm with her family. Whether it was four-wheeling, wearing her favorite onesie pajamas, caring for her guinea pigs and kittens, or creating masterpieces with Lego, Brook embraced life with creativity and joy. Her involvement in 4H Cloverbuds and the friendships she formed, especially with her best friends Penny and Lexi, were dear to her heart.

Brook’s grandparents, Bernie “Papa” and Janine “Grammy” Nadjiwon, and Denzil “Papa” and Beth “Nana” Fleming, along with a large extended family including uncles, aunts, cousins, and great-grandmothers, held her in great affection. She was like a daughter to her Uncle Jonathan “JJ” and Auntie Marney “Mimi” Stewart and will be fondly remembered by all her cousins and family friends.

A Celebration of Brook’s life will take place at the St. Joseph Island Free Methodist Church, located at 1589 Hilton Road, on Wednesday, June 5, 2024. Visitation will be from 11:00 am to 12:45 pm, followed by the service at 1:00 pm, officiated by Pastor Musa Daba. Interment will follow at Richards Landing Cemetery (10th Side Rd). The family encourages those attending to wear bright, cheerful colors in memory of Brook’s vibrant spirit. Wildflowers or homegrown arrangements are preferred over store-bought bouquets.

The Nadjiwon family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the doctors and staff of Matthews Memorial Hospital for their care and support. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Brook Nadjiwon Memorial Fund at AlgomaTrad.ca, a charity on St. Joseph Island dedicated to nurturing young musicians, in honor of Brook’s love for music.

To assist with funeral costs and to contribute to the memorial fund, a fundraiser has been organized by Deanna and Phil Nadjiwon. The community has shown overwhelming support, raising $22,266 CAD, far surpassing the initial goal of $10,000. The family is deeply grateful for the generosity and love shown during this difficult time.

Brookie’s vivacious spirit, her love for life, and her music have left an indelible mark on all who knew her. She will be dearly missed by her family, friends, and the entire community.
