Who Was Robert Sivori?

Rob was a devoted husband to his wife, Lillian, and a loving father to their three children, Robbie (7 years old), Nicholas (3 years old), and Leila (11 months old). He also leaves behind his brother, John Sivori, and his wife Veronica; his sister-in-law, Christine Hodge, and her husband Frederick. Robert was a beloved uncle to John and Ashleigh Sivori, and Gabriella and William Hodge. He also leaves behind several aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Rob cherished his family above all else and found joy in spending time with them. He loved cooking up a world-class BBQ, attending his children’s athletic events, and family vacations to Long Beach Island. Those who knew him would describe him as a true gentleman, a “ball-busta,” and a devoted family man.

Growing up with a passion for service and justice, Rob pursued a career in law enforcement, following in the footsteps of his great-grandfather, grandfather, and father, alongside his brother, all of whom were members of the NYPD.

Rob joined the NYPD in 2005 after graduating from Saint John’s University, where he was a proud member of the Iota Alpha Sigma “The Knights” fraternity. He quickly distinguished himself through his unwavering commitment to protecting and serving the community. Throughout his 19.5-year career, he exemplified the highest standards of professionalism, integrity, and bravery. His colleagues remember him as a compassionate officer who always put others before himself.

Rob will be remembered for his courage, kindness, generosity, love of good food, forehead kisses, the best steaks, humor, and above all, his selfless devotion to his family and community.

His passing leaves a monumental void in the hearts of his family, friends, fellow officers, and the countless lives he touched throughout his service.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 10, 2024, from 3:00 pm to 9:00 pm at Matthew Funeral Home, located at 2508 Victory Blvd, Staten Island, NY. A funeral service will be held on July 11, 2024, at 11:00 am at the Assyrian Orthodox Church of the Virgin Mary, located at 644 Paramus Rd, Paramus, NJ 07652, followed by interment at George Washington Memorial Park Cemetery, located at 234 Paramus Rd, Paramus, NJ 07652.

Robert Sivori’s legacy of service and sacrifice will forever be cherished and honored by all who knew him. May he rest in peace.
