The New Westminster Police Department has issued a public appeal for assistance in locating Magnus Manson, a 38-year-old Asian man who was last seen in the Uptown neighborhood of New Westminster at approximately 9:00 p.m. on May 13th.
Magnus Manson Missing
Described as standing 5’11” tall, with a slim build, brown eyes, and black hair typically worn in a ponytail, Magnus was last seen wearing a black Lululemon brand puffer jacket and black Lululemon brand jogger pants.
Magnus is known to frequent various parks and places of worship in both New Westminster and Burnaby, including Grimston Park, Moody Park, Robert Burnaby Park, St. Peter’s Church, St. Michael’s Church, and Our Lady Mercy Church.
Sergeant Andrew Leaver of the New Westminster Police Department emphasized the urgency of the situation, stating, “We are asking the public to help us locate Magnus. It’s important we find him as soon as possible. Friends and family are very concerned for his safety.”
Magnus Manson is married to Cory Manson, residing in Vancouver, British Columbia. The couple tied the knot in September 2011 and have two sons and a daughter.
Cory Manson took to social media to amplify the search efforts, urging the community’s support in finding her husband. In a heartfelt plea, she shared, “We need everyone’s help to bring @magnusjmanson home. He was last seen on CCTV cameras at 9:45 p.m. on May 13, making his way to Moody Park on foot from Seventh Ave. Please share and repost and report any info on his whereabouts to the @newwestpd or call 911.”
She continued, providing critical details that could aid in Magnus’s identification, stating, “He was wearing all black, possibly carrying a brown bible. He has a high ponytail and dragon tattoo on his right upper arm. He is in a vulnerable state. Magnus may be disoriented, have shortness of breath or palpitations due to not having his medications on him.”
Expressing the urgency of the situation, Cory Manson revealed, “It’s been almost 20 hours since Magnus went missing from our home. Please share and repost! We have search party efforts in progress, alongside the New West PD. If you can help with the search, please join our WhatsApp group.”
