The community mourns the tragic loss of Christine Marie Janicki (Yonker), a devoted wife, loving mother, cherished daughter, and beloved sister, who passed away alongside her baby boy, Xavier Ignatius, on Tuesday, March 19th, 2024. She was 34 years old.

Christine, born on December 13th, 1989, was the epitome of love, kindness, and grace. Throughout her life, she touched the hearts of all who knew her with her infectious laughter, unwavering generosity, and boundless compassion.
Married to her beloved husband, David, for over 6 breathtaking years, Christine was the cornerstone of their family. Together, they shared the joys and challenges of life, raising two beautiful children, Jackson and Theodore, whom she adored beyond measure.
A graduate of Western Michigan University in 2012, Christine pursued a career as a Registered Dietitian, dedicating herself to caring for those in long-term care facilities. Her genuine empathy and desire to make a difference in people’s lives shone brightly through her work, where she found great fulfillment in connecting with patients and offering them comfort and support.
After some time, Christine made the selfless decision to stay home and devote herself fully to her cherished boys, a role she embraced with unwavering love and dedication. She was a pillar of strength for her family, offering guidance, support, and endless love to her mother, Patricia Gulis-Yonker, and her sister, Kimberly Yonker.

Christine’s presence brought peace and joy to those around her. Her laughter was contagious, her kindness boundless, and her love immeasurable. She leaves behind a legacy of warmth, compassion, and selflessness that will forever be remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Funeral services to honor Christine’s life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, March 26th, at St. Anthony of Padua, located at 2510 Richmond St NW, Grand Rapids, MI 49504. Prior visitations will be held on Monday, March 25th, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Arsulowicz Brothers Remembrance Mortuary, 3525 Remembrance Rd NW, and on Tuesday, March 26th, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at St. Anthony of Padua. A Vigil Service will be held on Monday at 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery.
