Kogath shared a post on Twitter just before the passing of America’s History Teacher. The post reads,

“Before the fun of April Fools day kicks in, I wanted to get this serious post out because it’s important to me. Stan Ellsworth (Ironbeard McCullough to us in the #MonsterHunter community) health issues have gotten worse to the point where he will probably pass soon. His work on the Monster Hunter Tri commercials was instrumental to really kicking off the popularity of MH in the West.”

Stan Ellsworth reported passed away on Thursday night exactly at 8:41 pm. What happened to Stan Ellsworth? As per the GoFundMe page created on behalf of his family, the American Ride host had been battling several health complexities since 2020. Moreover, in 2021, he also suffered a stroke. But he did not stop showing fighting spirits and kept on battling his deteriorating health.

Currently, Stan Ellsworth’s wife and the rest of the family members are not in a condition to arrange the funeral plans. They need financial support from people. “There are mounting expenses associated with Stan’s care and anticipated funeral costs. Therefore, we have set up a “GoFundMe” account to help ease her burden.”

He was born in Salt Lake City, Utah. But he lived at different locations during his formative time. Stan resided in the Commonwealth of Virginia, Pennsylvania, and Carolinas. He surged to fame and prominence after appearing in American Ride. People started calling him America’s History Teacher.

Talking about his education, he attended Brigham Young University where he majored in history and later he went on to study psychology at the University of Utah. During his collegiate years, he used to play linebacker. As a result, Detroit Lions picked him in the sixth round of the 1998 NFL Draft.

Stan and I worked on several movies together over the years and each time we did, it was more like going to summer camp, than it was actual work. So many stories, so many lunches and dinners, so many hours and days spent sitting around movie sets, in ridiculous costumes… Stan was a pirate, he was a soldier, he was a patriot and he was damn good friend to all who knew him, myself included. Rest well, Marine. Semper Fi.”
