Update: Shooting In Frankfort KY, Active Shooter At Kentucky Transportation Cabinet Building: Today afternoon, at around 3 pm, the law enforcement of Kentucky state confirmed the alarming situation at the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet complex, which occurred due to an active shooter in the building. The building which is under the threat of active shooting is located at 200 Mero St.

In response to the shooting in Frankfort KY, Kentucky State Police dispatched a large number of units to the scene before 3 pm. Reportedly, the police officers have taken all the necessary security steps and the employees working in the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet building were evacuated.
Furthermore, Kentucky State Police and Frankfort County Sheriff’s Office are working combinedly to ensure everyone is safe and the building is clear.
It has been a couple of hours since a complaint of a shooting in the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet complex was reported but the authorities have not issued any further statement or report regarding the active shooter and circumstances. However, no injury also has been reported yet. Hope everyone is safe and under the protection of security personnel.

A person close to the scene shared the visuals from outside the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet building and wrote, “Active shooter at the Transportation Bldg in Frankfort. Every police force, SWAT, & chopper everywhere. Hope everyone there is safe, but I was told people have been shot. Not sure of truth or not. UPDATE: Frankfort Police post says no injuries.”

Another person shared a video, showing a large number of police vans and officers at Frankfort KY, and wrote, “Active shooter at transmission cabinet Frankfort KY. Going on right now. Check on your friends and family.”
Nathan Randolph who is at Department of Revenue said, “I just want to let everyone know that I am at work today in Frankfort, KY. That across the street at the Transportation Cabinet there is/was an active shooter on the 5th Floor. We don’t have any other information at this time but I am safe and on lockdown in the State Office Building across the Street. My cubicle window overlooks that building, such a scary thing”
