As per the reports, Michael Rhodes died at the age of 69. Talking about Michael Rhodes’s cause of death, the circumstances surrounding Michael Rhodes’s death have not been revealed. Michael Rhodes was a native of Monroe, Louisiana. Reportedly. he was just 13 years old when he started playing guitar. Shortly after he picked up a bass guitar. Later he migrated to Austin Tx during the 70s and got associated with local bands. After some time, Michael Rhodes traveled to Memphis, Tennessee where he worked with Charlie Rich’s son Alan Rich.

In 1977, he settled in Nashville TN, and shortly after joined a local band known as The Nerve where he played guitar alongside Danny Rhodes and Ricky Rector.

Eventually, Michael Rhodes established himself as a session player and became a member of Cicadas and performed alongside Eddie Bayers, Steuart Smith, Rodney Crowell, and Vince Santoro.

While his stint with The Notorious Cherry Bombs, he worked alongside Vince Gill, Crowell, Bayers, Richard Bennett, and Hank DeVito. Nevertheless, he also contributed to albums of numerous artists like Neal McCoy, Pat McLaughlin, and many more.

We haven’t had many contacts since the days in Austin, but when we did, it was always filled with laughs and with a tone of mutual respect. So long Michael, you were one of the great ones.”

Warren Haynes posted, “RIP Michael Rhodes- This is getting ridiculous…..When I first moved to Nashville in 1983 I heard Michael Rhodes for the first time.
