Bill Brashier Career

He served for the Hawkeyes for years from 1978 to 95. He started working as the defensive backs coach at Iowa in 1978. In his career, he served as assistant head coach and defensive coordinator. He also worked in Big Ten as a defense coordinator prior to joining Fry at Iowa in 1979. In addition, he also worked at North Texas as an assistant coach in 11 seasons.

In the early days of his career, he was designated as the high school assistant coach at Texas-El Paso. Later Bill was promoted as head coach at Texas-El Paso. Nevertheless, he also spent three years in Navy.
